Tips For Storing

1. USE PALLETS, SKIDS, 2X4’S OR OTHER SUPPORTS TO KEEP YOUR BOXES OFF THE FLOOR.
2. PLACE PLASTIC COVERINGS OVER YOUR PROPERTY.
3. DO NOT STORE EVERYTHING IN BAGS WHERE THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF MILDEW.
4. KEEP SOME SORT OF MOISTURE ABSORBER IN YOUR UNIT.
5. PLACE ELECTRONICS IN THE REAR OF THE UNIT.
6. PACK GLASS ITEMS IN PROTECTIVE PACKAGING.
7. DO NOT STORE VALUABLES (JEWELRY, FURS, MONEY) IN YOUR UNIT.
8. IF YOUR UNIT DOESN’T HAVE AIR CONDITIONING DO NOT STORE ITEMS THAT MAY WARP OR BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO TEMPERATURE CHANGES.
9. DO NOT STORE FLAMMABLE ITEMS OR OPENED FOODS IN THE UNIT
10. TAKE INVENTORY OF ALL ITEMS STORED IN YOUR UNIT. IT ALSO HELPS TO TAKE PICTURES.
11. KEEP A COPY OF THE INVENTORY/PICTURES IN A SAFE PLACE.
12. HORIZON MINI STORAGE CONTRACTS A PEST CONTROL COMPANY TO SPRAY FOR BUGS ONCE A MONTH. BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR UNIT, WE URGE YOU TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS YOU FEEL ARE NECESSARY.
13. YOUR PROPERTY IS VALUABLE TO YOU AND AS SUCH HORIZON MINI STORAGE STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT YOU SEEK INSURANCE FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY WHILE IT IS IN STORAGE.
